Steve Gadd
The session drummer's drummer whose groove on "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" and "Aja" set the gold standard for studio drumming.
Stephen Kendall Gadd is one of the most recorded and respected session drummers in history, inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1984. His performances on Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" and Steely Dan's "Aja" are considered landmark recordings. Chick Corea said "Every drummer wants to play like Gadd because he plays perfect." His ability to find the perfect groove for any song, combined with impeccable technique, made him the first-call studio drummer for decades.
