Chadwick Gaylord Smith has been the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers since 1988, providing the powerful groove that anchors their funk-rock sound. His playing combines the pocket of funk drumming with rock power, and his chemistry with bassist Flea is legendary. Smith is also a member of the supergroup Chickenfoot and has done extensive session work. His energetic stage presence and sense of humor make him a fan favorite.
