John Henry Bonham was the drummer for Led Zeppelin, widely regarded as the greatest rock drummer of all time. His powerful, precise, and groove-heavy style set the template for hard rock drumming. Bonham's ability to combine jazz-influenced swing with thunderous power, his innovative single bass drum technique, and his massive sound influenced generations of drummers. Rolling Stone named him the greatest drummer of all time in 2016. He died tragically at age 32, and Led Zeppelin disbanded shortly after.
